Athena royal Cruise

Set sail through the spectacular landscape of Halong Bay with the Athena Royal Cruise ship. The 3 days 2 nights cruise tour will offer you the chance to explore Sung Sot Cave is the largest cave in Ha Long Bay, and to enjoy kayaking around the Luon Cave, or conquering the peak of Titop Island for breathtaking view of Ha Long Bay.

day 1: hanoi - halong bay

Shuttle bus will will pick you up at your hotel in downtown Hanoi (Hanoi Old Quarter). Depart for Halong Bay. Enjoy the 2 hour drive on the Highway 5B, through the fertile flood plains of the Red River Delta. Make a stop on the way for coffee break.

Upon your arrival in Halong City at noon, you will be welcomed by Athena Royal Cruise team at the harbor. Transfer to the Athena Royal Cruise by a tender boat. The Cruise Manager and the whole crew member welcome you onboard, a safety briefing and clearing our the itinerary will be delivered while you are enjoying a welcome drink.

Lunch is served on board.

The cruise will make the first stop at “Bo Nau” cave (Pelican Cave), the core area of Halong Bay. Transfer by tender to “Sung Sot” Cave (Surprising cave) – the biggest and the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay.

Afterwards, keep moving by tender to the Titov island was named by Uncle Ho, after Gherman Stepanovich Titov – the Soviet astronaut who visited in 1962. Enjoy swimming, relaxing on the beach or climbing the steps of the Rock to the top of the island. A breathtaking view of Halong Bay will surprise you there.

Back to the Athena Royal Cruise. Time for relaxing while the cruise moves to the overnight place. Enjoy your favorite drinks at Athena Royal Cruise Bar while waiting for sunset on Halong Bay. Join the Happy Hours “Buy 1 get 1 free” drink while the sun is giving way to stunning twilight.

Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 2: Halong Bay

Good morning the Bay by joining the Tai chi exercise on the sundeck. A light breakfast is ready to serve at the restaurant.

Get on a small day boat to discover a rustic floating village and another cave in Halong Bay. The boat will drop you off at Tung Sau Area where you will have a short kayaking trip to visit the floating village. Take this opportunity to get a glimpse of the local fisherman.

Back to the day boat for lunch and relax.

Spend the afternoon exploring the “Me Cung” cave (Maze cave). Unlike many other grottos and caves in Halong Bay, this one doesn’t come with a legend about its origins. Instead, it is famous for being one of the sites of the prehistoric man, who lived here between 7000 and 10000 years ago.

Embark again on the Athena Royal Cruise. It's time for relaxing at the outdoor jacuzzi, sunbathing on the sundeck, or having a spa treatment…

In the evening, a cooking demonstration of traditional Vietnamese dishes will be provided by the chef of Athena Royal Cruise. Have dinner and overnight on board.

Day 3: Halong Bay - Hanoi

You may like waking up early this morning to join the Tai Chi Exercise on the sundeck which lasts for about 30 minutes whilst cruising to “Luon” Cave. A light breakfast is ready to serve at the restaurant.

Visit “Luon” cave. It has the shape of an arc with 60 meters in length and 2.5 – 4 in height depending on the tide. Because of the limited height, the only way to visit Luon Cave is by a small boat or a kayak. Athena Royal Cruise offers both options for visitors to explore the cave, either by kayak (with compliment) or by rowing boat (with extra charge).

Come back to Athena Royal Cruise, relax on the boat and pack the luggage. Enjoy a brunch (breakfast + light lunch) at the restaurant while the ship is cruising back to shore.

Picked up again by shuttle bus, and brought back to Hanoi.
