Hanh Cave

When visiting Halong bay, visitors can not miss Hanh cave. This cave is 9 km from Cam Pha province and is 20 km from Baichay Tourist Wharf. Hanh cave is the longest and the most beautiful cave compared to other caves in Halong bay. The length of cave is 1,3 kilometer along Hanh mountain and cross out sea.

Inside the cave, there is a temple which called Tam Co temple (Three Girls temple). It is said that, there were three girls who came to this cave. Because the cave was so beautiful, they forgot the time and got lost inside and then died. They turned into the god of sea, thus local people built this temple in order to comfort their soul.

This is a low cave so if you want to visit the cave, you have to wait until low tide and then hire a small boat. Before entering the cave, you must carry torches or flashlight (because is quite dark insight) and remember to go out of the cave before the tide rising. The small boat leads you to wriggle through each winding rocks under the flickering torchlight; each stalactites beam hangs down from the ceiling of cave, which lights up the wonderful colors; current of water drifts quietly, space is quiet, it only seem to hear sound of grouser in water as a magic sound.
