Embark on Maya Cruise with this 3 days 2 nights package to explore Lan Ha Bay, and venture out for exciting activities such as kayaking, swimming, visit floating village, caving, go fishing with farmers. The overnight cruise tour also offers the chance to taste local traditional Vietnamese dishes on board.

day 1: hanoi - halong bay - lan ha bay

Our car will will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi and depart for Cat Ba Island. Enjoy the 2 hour drive on the Highway 5B, through the fertile flood plains of the Red River Delta. Make a stop on the way for coffee break.

Arrival in Hai Phong City at Gia Luan Port around noon, transfer by tender to Maya Cruise Ship. On the way to the main boat, you will have chance to see Cai Trap canal. Welcome onboard and check in. Enjoy Welcome Drink, receive cruise briefing, safety instructions. Start cruising and explore Halong Bay – one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.

Afternoon, Maya Cruise proceeds to Da Chong islet, where you can see a lighthouse built by the French over 100 years ago. Have lunch while the ship passes by the islet of Con Vit. These amazing limestone karst formations rise up out of the sea in an impressive manner. This area is untouched, as not many cruise ships use the route via the Cat Ba Island – Thoi Quyt area – Coc Ngoi islet – through Cua Van to Ba Trai Dao area.

We progress to Ba Trai Dao beach area of Lan Ha Bay - a separate part of Halong Bay. This is a quiet tourist paradise in Vietnam. The region is known for its pristine beaches and spectacular beauty, having about 400 fascinating islands. Unlike the main, Ha Long Bay, the islands of Lan Ha Bay are forested, and most are small in stature. You can try at kayaking or simply just enjoy a swim. This is a great experience, immersed in the crystal clear waters of the bay, in the Ba Trai Dao area.

Returning Maya Cruise Boat, enjoy magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. Onboard you may join a traditional cooking class. Our chef will instruct you in the making of some Vietnam dishes.

Evening, enjoy dinner with delicious local food prepared by onboard catering staff. Relax whilst enjoying drinks from the bar. Try your hand at night squid fishing, watching a movie in the restaurant. Overnight onboard.

day 2: lan ha bay - bai tu long bay

The day starts early onboard Maya Cruise with Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Coffee, tea and pastries for light breakfast are served in the dining room with morning view of bay’s landscape, then continue our journey.

Transfer to a day boat for visit Viet Hai village. You will take the bicycle trip along the village path and go through rain forests and dark tunnel. Enjoy stunning scenery of rice fields on the way. Stop at the village to relax. Visit an ancient local house, made from straw, mud, bamboo…you will have chance to see the local life on a valley of local people. Back to day boat for visiting Bai Tu Long Bay.

Lunch served on day boat.

Afternoon, Maya Cruise Ship moves to Bai Tu Long Bay where you will enjoy kayaking and swimming at Ba Ham Lake (if the weather permit). This area situated in the middle of a narrow, rectangular area, with the all four sides enclosed by vertical cliffs.

Return to Maya Cruise, you will join a traditional cooking class. Our chef will instruct you in the making of some Vietnam dishes. Watch the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. In the early evening the boat has its Happy Hour deal.

Evening, have dinner with delicious local food prepared by our onboard catering staff. Enjoy the landscape of the bay at night up on the top deck. Relax whilst enjoying drinks from the bar. Try your hand at night squid fishing, watching a movie in the restaurant.

day 3: bai tu long bay - halong bay - hanoi

Get up early this morning to participate the Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Continue our journey and get on a bamboo boat to row to the Dark & Light Cave (Hang Sang Toi). The little boat allows you to move across the cave corners and discover the magic of light.

Return Maya Cruise Ship for check-out procedures. Whilst cruising back you can enjoy a delightful brunch. Arrival at the quay side in the south of the bay, disembarkation at Gia Luan Port at noon. Your car will pick you up again and travel back to Hanoi. The Maya Cruise 2 Days 1 Night Itinerary is completed.
